Varalaxmi sarathkumar walk out jayaram film

We had recently reported that Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has signed to do a female role in the Malayalam remake of Appa. But to everyones surprise, the actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has reportedly walked out of the flick.
Varalaxmi took to Twitter on why she backed off the project and the reason is shocking. Her tweet read, "Thnk u to Samuthirakani sir n Jayaram sir for hvng supported my decision.. can't work wid male chauvinists n mannerless prods..#respectwomen".
The producers had mentioned that they took in Varalaxmi based on the stills of Kasaba wherein she was plump. But now when she had come to the Pooja of the film, they realized that she has slimmed down and did not fit her character. Aakasha Mittaaaye also has Jayaram.
Aakasha Mittayee will mark the directorial debut of acclaimed filmmaker Samuthirakani in Malayalam. It is a remake of critically acclaimed 2016 film, Appa. Besides writing, producing and directing the Tamil original, he had also played the lead role in the film. The film follows the heartwarming relationship between father and son and the gives out a few lessons on parenting responsibilities.
