DR. BIJU’S ENGLISH FILM “THE DIRECTOR” TO GO ON FLOORS ON OCT. 17

National award-winning filmmaker Dr. Biju is set to direct his maiden English film. Titled “The Director”, the movie will start rolling on October 17 in Sikkim.

Producer-actor Prakash Bare essays the lead character in the film. Geetanjali Thapa, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Ravi Singh, Uday Chandra, Nokshaa Saham, Krishnan Balakrishnan, Melwyn Williams and Master Govardhan et al portray different characters. Nokshaa Saham is an actor from Wancho tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. He is known for his performance in the National award-winning film “The Headhunter.”

Director Shyamaprasad is also doing a prominent role in the film. Many local villagers are also appearing in the film, including Tensing Lepcha, a well-known tribal activist, who is involved in the historic agitation of Sikkimese people against the construction of dams in the Dzongu area.

The film will be mainly shot in Lachung, a northern village near the Tibetan border situated at a height of 9000ft, and Yuksom, a historic town in the west which was the first capital of Sikkim.“The Director” is an Indo-US venture, produced under the banners of Silicon Media and BlueOcean Entertainment.
