'Konnappookkalum Mambazhavum' to release on OTT

Konnappookkalum Mambazhavum, directed by Abhilash S, is the next Malayalam movie to release on OTT platforms directly.
Konnappookkalum Mambazhavum, the first full length feature film directed by the filmmaker who is also a school teacher, is releasing on Aug 8. Abhilash has earlier directed a couple of short films and one of the three movies in the anthology, Onnum Onnum Moonnu.
Konnappookkalum Mambazhavum is about the situation of some young kids who are studying without enjoying the world outside them. The pressures that parents give to children for scoring high marks is also part of the plot, says some reports.
Jayasurya starrer Sufiyum Sujathayum was the first movie to release directly on OTT before having a theatrical release. Later Vipin Atlley’s Musical Chair also had an OTT release.
