Stay on ‘Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan’ to continue

Stay on Suresh Gopi’s new film ‘Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan will continue. The Ernakulam district court’s action is in response to a petition filed by film Kaduva’s script writer Jinu Abraham.In the petition, he says that the Prothviraj starrer Kaduva, directed by Shaji Khailas, has similarity with the Suresh Gopi film.
Jinu’s petition points out copyright violation in the Suresh Gopi’s film. It is Suresh Gopi’s 250 film. The district court had earlier called off the works of the film and it has now upheld that stay, adding that the stay will continue till the case is settled.In the petition, Jinu had pointed out that all scenes of Kaducva’s script including the name of the character Kuruvachan had already been registered separately. He had submitted documents in support of his argument in the court.
The court upheld the stay after considering these documents.The first look poster of Kaduva was released on October 16 on Prithviraj’s birthday. Kaduvakunnil Kuruvachan is the name of a character in that film. It was after this Suresh Gopi film’s poster came out.Jinu moved the court after he found similarity between Prithvi and Suresh Gopi film
