Sreenath Bhasi’s next is a father-son relationship story

He says the script was in place before the pandemic struck, but the story seems written for the post-lockdown times, as the film hopes to convey the merits of a rural, agricultural life, through a father who is a farmer and also does pisciculture. “It is about a father-son relationship, and how the father, played by Anil Nedumangad, does not want his son to go out and find a job. He feels the land can sustain his son and provide a decent livelihood, which is the message of the film,” says Harris, adding that Sreenath Bhasi is an actor with great calibre and a perfect fit for the role.
Why is a film about a father-son relationship titled Damayantiyum Sunandayum? The director says that the first half of the film is full of laughs and the twist at half-time explains the title. “It is a family entertainer. The suspense will keep the audience completely engrossed through the second half,” he says.
