National award winning documentary filmmaker Sou Sadanandan is all set to make her directorial debut in Mollywood. Sou won the National award last year for her documentary film Chembai. She has signed in Kunchacko Boban and Thondi-muthalum Driksakshiyum fame Nimisha Sajayan for the project.
"The film is a family satire, with a very simple story. No major twists, fights or surprises," says Sou. Newbie Sony Madhathil has penned the script for the movie. Nimisha will play Kunchacko’s wife in the flick.
Sou further said, "After a considerable gap, Mallika Sukumaran will also be seen in a major role in the film. The rest of the actors and technicians are not confirmed yet.” She also said that she is thinking of a new approach for the flick’s music. "I am on the lookout for youngsters, who might have made their own, quality music and have shied away from releasing them. Most of us grew up listening to evergreen numbers by our masters like Raveendran and I wish I could find new musicians, who have a similar spark in them and use them in my film,” Sadanandan asserts.
