Shane Nigam plays an Anglo Indian in Qalb

Some had caught the attention of a casting call video for the film Qalb that had Shane Nigam singing, enjoying the sunset in Alappuzha and asking for a nice wife, buddies and a girlfriend.The film, directed by Sajid Yahiya, will see Shane play a youth based in Alappuzha.
"His personality is an Anglo Indian with a Portuguese heritage. Kerala is home to many such people whose great grandfathers belong to different cultures, such as Dutch, Portuguese and so on. When we think of Alappuzha, the old port town, we think only of Kuttanad and the backwaters.
There's another side to the city, with the beaches and shacks, and Qalb's going to explore that and its mixed culture, "says the filmmaker, who previously had IDI and Mohanlal in helm.Sajid further on the film, says Qalb is all about relationships. "It's about the various love forms-between a father and a wife, lovers and mates. It's a spirited love story that examines the concept of the same for every human, "he says.
