Shamna Kasim blackmail case: Accused posed as prospective groom, according to police

On Wednesday morning , actress-dancer Shamna Kasim's mother Rowla filed a cheating case against six people at Maradu Police Station.
Kochi Times was able to access the details of her complaint, A police official says, "The prime accused Rafeeq connected with the actress through phone and expressed his wish to marry her after showing another person's photograph.
On June 3, he went to the house of the actress, along with the rest of the accused, at Maradu in the guise of a marriage proposal, took the videos of their home and vehicle. Subsequently, the prime accused started blackmailing her, demanding that he would 'ruin her career' unless she pad Rs 1 lakh. The official added, "Rafeeq, Sharath, Ashraf and Ramesh have been arrested. The investigation is on," he added.
