Rajnikanth Movie ‘Kaala’ May Not Have Mammootty
Reported By Neenu08 Jun 2017
Megastar Mammootty was reported to have a role in the upcoming Tamil movie ‘Kaala.’ As per reports, the megastar was to appear as Dr. Ambedkar in the upcoming movie of superstar Rajnikanth. Rejecting all the rumours and fake reports, men close to the megastar said the news is fake.
The Tamil movie ‘Kaala’ speaks about and is centred on Dalit politics. Once the centre theme was out, everyone started creating stories on their own way. One of the rumours which spread (nearly like wildfire) was the role of Dr. B R Ambedkar in the movie. Having done the Ambedkar role in 2000, Mammootty remained the top choice for the role. The megastar bagged the National Film Award for best actor for enacting the Baba role in the 2000-release ‘Dr. Ambedkar.’
Men close to the megastar claimed the news to be fake and has nothing to do with reality. It is the creation of some national newspapers, said officials while talking to a major media of Kerala.
Earlier Rajnikanth released the first look poster of ‘Kaala.’ The Superstar appeared sitting on the hood of a jeep. Interestingly the number of the jeep was spotted as BR 1956. This ‘B R’ in the number gave rise to wrong assumptions. Many reported the number to represent BR Ambedkar.
However, the makers of ‘Kaala’ have not revealed anything about the number. Nor have they disclosed details of the movie whether it will have BR Ambedkar role or Mammootty’s presence in the movie. The shooting of the movie is progressing in Mumbai and other parts of the country.
Mammootty and Rajnikanth shared screens last in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Thalapathi’ released in 1991. Though the movie was a major hit, the pair hasn’t appeared together again.
