Pulimurugan makes its way to the Oscars for original score

Pulimurugan makes us proud again and again! After becoming the first Malayalam movie to enter the prestigious 100 Crore club, songs from it has found a place in the list of songs considering for nominations in the original scores category and originals songs category for the 90th Oscar awards. Two songs, Kaadaniyum Kalchilambe and Manathe Marikurumbe are in the list. Both songs are composed by national award-winning musician Gopi Sundar. Earlier in 2015, songs composed by Ouseppachan, who was the mentor of Gopi Sundar, for the movie Jalam were shortlisted for Oscars. Kaadaniyum Kalchilambe is sung by K. J. Yesudas and K. S. Chithra with lyrics by Rafeeq Ahammed while Manathe Marikurumbe is sung by Vani Jairam and written by Murukan Kattakada. The final nomination list will be announced on January 23, 2018.
