Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Ranam starts rolling

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming movie Ranam aka Detroit Crossing has started rolling in Atlanta. The movie, which tells about a Tamil street in Detroit and Michigan, is directed by debutant Nirmal Sahadev. Since there is strong Tamil influence in the movie, Kollywood actors like Sampath Raj and Ashwin Kumar are roped in to play prominent roles. It also features an ensemble star cast including Mamta Mohandas and Rahman. This crime thriller will be shot majorly in the US. Ranam has cinematography by Lukasz Pruchnik, who was the DOP of movies like Go Goa Gone and Monsoon Mangoes. The movie is jointly produced by Anand Kumar Payyanur and Biju Bernard under the banner of Yes Cinema Company.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj’s Adam Joan is getting ready for its release. It will reach the screens during the Onam season. The movie, written and directed by Jinu V Abraham, also features Narain, Rahul Madhav, Siddique, Maniyanpilla Raju, Mishti, Bhavana and Lena in pivotal roles.
