Reported By 17 Jun 2020
The lockdown has put most people in nostalgia mode and Murali Gopy remembered Sathyan on his death anniversary, with a glimpse of his favourite scene from the legendary actor’s film. “Greatness is, indeed, timeless,” the writer-actor posted, alongside a clip from the 1971 film Anubhavangal Paalichakal. It was Sathyan’s last film, in fact, he had died before the shoot was completed.
The poignant scene from the b&w film, based on a novel by Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai, shows Sathyan who plays Chellappan coming to meet his family whom he has neglected. The film, which also features Prem Nazir and Sheela, marked the onscreen debut of Mammootty.
