Masterpiece clears censor hurdle with a U certificate

Megastar Mammootty’s forthcoming movie Masterpiece has been cleared by the censor board and is all set to grace screens on December 21. The movie has bagged a clean U certificate and has a running time of 2 hours 39 Minutes. The masterpiece will be a complete mass entertainer that has many high voltage action sequences choreographed by six different stunt masters in it. Mammootty plays Edward Livingstone aka Eddy, a stylish yet strict college professor in the movie. Written by Udayakrishna and directed by Ajai Vasudev, Masterpiece also features Unni Mukundan, Gokul Suresh, Mukesh, Salim Kumar, Maqbool Salmaan, Kalabhavan Shajon, Captain Raju, Bijukuttan, Mahima Nambiar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in pivotal roles. The trailer of the movie, which was released recently, was really appealing and has moments that are enough for giving goosebumps to Mammootty fans. However, the songs composed by Deepak Dev were not up to the mark. Masterpiece is funded by C. H. Muhammed under the banner of Royal Cinemas.
