Mammootty to start 'CBI Diarykurippu 5' after lockdown?

Ever since the fourth installment in the CBI Diarykurippu series came out in 2005, there have been talks about the next episode. Fans of superstar Mammootty are waiting eagerly to see him back on screen playing the soft spoken CBI officer, Sethuramaiyer.
Now rumours are doing the rounds that director K Madhu and scenarist S N Swami are planning to start the shooting of the movie, soon after the COVID 19 restrictions are over.
Oru CBI Diarykurippu was the first movie to come in this series, in 1988. Jagratha (1989), Sethuramaiyer CBI (2004) and Nerariyaan CBI (2005) were the other movies that followed.
Mammootty has two movies ready for release now, Santhosh Viswanath’s One and Jofin T Chacko’s The Priest.
The hero was all set to start shooting for Bilal, the sequel to Big B, when the COVID 19 outbreak happened.
