Reported By 23 Jan 2018
Mammootty's upcoming film Streetlights will release in the United Arab Emirates before India. It will release in India on January 26, 2018. Streetlights will be the second Malayalam film to release simultaneously in India and UAE.
Prithviraj's Vimaanam, which hit theatres in December, was the first Mollywood to release on the same day worldwide. Streetlights will be a Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu trilingual. The film will mark the directorial debut of veteran cinematographer Shamdat Sain.
Since Tamil actors are popular in Telugu also, therefore both the languages will have the same set of actors, while the Malayalam version will have another set of actors. Mano Bala, Pandiraj, Motta Rajendran, Stunt Silva and award-winning actor Sreeram will be seen in Tamil and Telugu version, whereas the Malayalam version will feature Dharmajan Bolgatty, Joy Mathew, Neena Kurup, Sudhi Koppa, Hareesh Kanaran, and Sohan Seenulal. Shot in Kochi, Chennai and Pollachi, the movie will see Mammootty playing an investigative officer.
