Mammootty as CM

Mammootty has Left leanings in politics. Though he is the head of CPM’s political channel, he is not forthcoming when it comes to explaining his political stands.But now Mammootty is becoming the chief minister in reel life. He will play Kerala’s chief minister in the film, Santhosh Viswanath, is directing after Chirakondinja Kinakkal. The film’s script is being prepared by Boby-Sanjay team.Though he had appeared as a minister in Nayam Vyakthamakkunnu, directed by Balachandra Menon and as employees’ leader in IV Sasi films, this is his first outing as the chief minister. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, who had shined in the film Kattappanayile Rithik Roshen, is doing an important character.
The official announcement of the film is likely to happen in January. The selection of cast is going on. The crew is planning to begin shooting by March next year.
