MALAYALAM FILM FESTIVAL TO BE HELD IN BENGALURU

Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, Department of Information and Public Relations in collaboration with Kerala State Chalachitra Academy will organise Malayalam film festival in Bengaluru. As a quid pro quo, Kannada film festival will be held in Kerala capital Thiruvananthapuram.The Malayalam film festival will be held here at Chamundeshwari Studios from August 11 to 13 wherein eight films will be screened. K.J. George, Minister for Bengaluru Development will inaugurate the festival. Ace filmmaker P. Sheshadri will speak on the occasion.
Dr. P.S. Harsha, Director, Department of Information and Public Relations, Sa. Ra. Govindu, Chairman, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, award-winning Malayalam filmmakers Dileesh Pothan and Vidhu Vincent, Malayalam actor Vinay Forrt will attend.
Malayalam films “Manhole”, “Maheshinte Prathikaaram”, “Aaradi”, “Kismath” and “Kammatti Paadam”, “Godsay”, “Mohavalayam” and “Kaadu Pookunna Neram” will be screened during the festival.
The Kannada film festival will be held from August 26 to 28. Popular movies like “U-Turn,” “Thithi,” “Kirik Party,” “Harikatha Prasanga,” “Maarikondavaru,” “Naanu avanalla avalu” and “Rama Rama Re” will be screened.
Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, in an effort to create a unique opportunity for the exchange of rich cultures of India through the common platform of cinema, is organizing the film festivals.
