Dhyan: The quality of the love action drama may not have been fresh

Dhyan Sreenivasan's debut directorial Love Action Drama was a superhit last year, but the movie initially opened to mixed responses.
Recently, the actor-filmmaker has conceded in an interview with us that the content of the Nivin Pauly and Nayanthara-starrer may not have offered anything new to the audience. "I first told the story to Nivin in 2016 and we had to wait for Nayanthara's dates for three years, because she was also occupied with big movies like Vishwasam, Bigil and Sye Raa. Until then, the material will have become old too, "he says.
Dhyan though tells us that with the film being a festival release, the priority was to "entertain the audience," and judging from the figures in the box office, he seems to have succeeded.
