Court stays filming, promotion of Suresh Gopi's 250th movie due to 'Kaduva

The Ernakulam district court has stayed the shooting of actor Suresh Gopi's movie tentatively titled 'SG 250' after a plea was filed by Jinu Abraham, the scriptwriter of 'Kaduva' which is set to be directed by Shaji Kailas with Prithviraj in the lead.
The petition was filed as per the Copyright Violation Act. Jinu Abraham said the petition was filed as the characters and situation of the Suresh Gopi movie felt similar to the one he wrote for 'Kaduva' and if there are no copyright violations, he has no objections.
Including the name of the character, all scenes of 'Kaduva' was registered, it is said in the petition. The related documents have been submitted at the court. Actions were taken by the court based on this. The court stay is for the film's shooting and promotion on social media
