Award-winning actor Indrans brings out his tailor to do facemasks at home

A video tutorial on making face masks starring Mollywood star Indrans is doing the internet rounds. The video shows Indrans offering a brief on how to make face masks at home and you no longer see the actor in him as he paddles the sewing machine's drum. This is the same Indrans, back in Trivandrum, who used to knit clothes for a living at his old tailoring shop in his home town. The actor who had delighted the public for decades since entering the cinema was a tailor by trade. He also worked in movies as a costume designer before taking up movies as an actor. And it seems he hasn't lost that potential yet.
Being part of the recognition of the Coronavirus epidemic and the drive to 'break the chain' the star has filmed a video on how to make facemasks. The video is shot inside Kerala Central Prison's tailoring facility, Poojappura. In the nearly five-minute video Indrans explains how to create a three-layered mask of fabric, and the actor sews one himself.
Kerala Health department shared video is winning hearts. The actor's step-by-step directions were useful to others, and often impressed viewers by the actor's approach towards understanding and acknowledging his origins in public.
