Baby Meenakshi, who is famous in Kerala through her roles in movies such as 'Oppam' and music shows on TV, has worked with the late Rishi Kapoor in the Hindi film of Jeethu Joseph, 'The Body.' Recently, she shared her experience of the same with a regional daily. The actress said Rishi was very considerate, understanding she is not speaking Hindi and used to speak in English to her. In the film Meenakshi played the character of Rishi's aunt.
"I was so thrilled that the shoot was in Mauritius. But, I panicked when I learnt that I will be acting with Rishi Kapoor," she said.Meenakshi was seen in one of the accident scenes in the movie where the child is being saved by her father. While shooting the scene, Rishi Uncle was carrying me for hours. I got concerned thinking that a legendary actor is carrying me and doing such a tough scene. I started shivering and he noticed this. Uncle told me - No matter how great an actor you are, a scene becomes complete with the contribution of your co-stars. The more comfortable your co-actor is more perfect the scene would me. I will never forget this advice from him," Meenakshi recollected.
Meenakshi also shared that Rishi Kapoor helped her overcome the fears of not being well-versed with the Hindi language."Uncle told me that language is never a barrier in cinema. If you can deliver the dialogue with the required feel, that's enough for the film. This is the best motivation a budding talent can ever get in her life," she said. Talking about spending time with Rishi Kapoor during the shoots, Meenakshi expressed that she was highly inspired by the reel and real-life charm of the actor.
