Now, Basil Joseph is into acting

Basil Joseph, the director of super-hits Kunjiramayanam and Godha, is busy nowadays. It is not in direction but in acting. He had made a single-scene appearance in the recently released film Mayanadhi. But with that, he could win the attention of the audience. Basil did the role of a director who had to do away with the scene that he liked most.
The director curses that “let Malayalam cinema go to hell”. This comment had evoked laughter in the theatre. Earlier, Basil had done the role of Editor in the film Homely meals.
Basil has just recently completed acting in Biju Menon starrer Rosappoo . He is also getting ready to act in Padayottam and Mandakini. This 27-year-old artist has however not stopped direction just because he is into acting. “I shall start my next directorial venture this year end,” he added.
