'Bombay Velvet' tanked at the box office. It was such a bad film that people associated with the film do not want to talk about it at all. However, this does not mean that we can not have a throwback from the movie. Director Anurag Kashyap shares a still from the film with Ranbir and Satyadeep Mishra and compares them both with Raj Kapoor and Iftikhaar.
Sharing the pic, Kashyap writes, " Love this picture from Bombay Velvet. Ranbir here reminds me of Raj Kapoor and @instasattu is like a young Iftikhaar."
Looking at the picture, one can say Ranbir does look like his grandfather Raj Kapoor. He resembles him a lot.
Film 'Bombay Velvet' released in 2015 is a crime thriller film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in lead roles. The film is based on historian Gyan Prakash's book Mumbai Fables. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film was a commercial disaster and failed miserably at the box office.
Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap's recently directed film 'Choked' received a good response from the audience. Film tells the story of a bank employee who is under deep debt because of her husband and she finds cash flowing out of her kitchen sink.
On the other hand, Ranbir was last seen in Raj Kumar Hirani's 'Sanju'. He will next be seen in Ayan Mukherji's fantasy film trilogy, the first of which is named as 'Brahmastra'.
The film features Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir in lead roles. The film is scheduled for December 2020 release.
