Naeem A Siddiqui's Humne Gandhi Ko Maar Diya is to release on 2nd March. The title was originally "Hey Ram Humne Gandhi Ko Maar Diya", which was cut short by the CBFC, according to a report by the leading newspaper Mumbai Mirror.

Siddiqui has tried convincing the censor board to retain the original title, but they insisted on changing it to the current one, even though they did not make clear what lead the decision. He was also asked to remove an image of Dr KB Hedgewar, one of the founders of RSS and remove Vinayak Damodar Savarkar's name, too. "I would have been happy had I been allowed to retain my original title and not have to change my publicity material but I’m just relieved that the film is finally releasing.", Siddiqui told to the “Mumbai Mirror”

Two individuals from two different walks of life meet in a train journey and the journey accidentally coincides with the assassination of  Gandhiji. The story is about the effect of the incident in the nation as well as what it has to do with the two men's journey. Even though the shooting for the movie was completed in less than 5 months,  the clashes with the censor board for the title made the release to be delayed.
