Vikram Vedha to be screened at Tokyo International Film Festival

The makers of the much-loved ‘Vikram Vedha’ just took to Twitter and confirmed that the film will soon be screened the prestigious Tokyo International Film Festival. While sharing the good news, they added that they were quite proud of the achievement.
“{The big news is here! We are happy to inform that ‘Vikram Vedha’ has been selected at Tokyo International Film Festival,” tweeted the makers.
Well, this is some good news indeed and is bound to create quite a buzz amongst movie buffs. In case you did not know, ‘Vikram Vikram’ is a crime-thriller and had opened to a thunderous response at the box office in July.
A Pushkar-Gayathri directorial, It is based on the tales of Vikram-Betaal and managed to receive rave reviews thanks to its gripping performances. It features Madhavan in the role of a cop while Vijay Sethupathi essays the role of a gangster. Shortly after its release ‘Maddy’ had said that he was overwhelmed by the love he had received for his performance.
“I know we had done an exceptional film and I knew it was different. But the response has been unprecedented. More importantly, it has been extremely humbling and frightening. I don’t think we expected this to have such a phenomenal feedback from around the world,” he had said.
Interestingly, recent reports suggest that ‘Vikram Vedha’ could soon be remade in Kannada with Sudeep playing the lead. Moreover, sometime ago, Rana Daggubati was approached for the Telugu remake.
