Kamal Haasan says: Not in quarantine
Reported By 28 Mar 2020
In the morning, uncertainty prevailed among Kamal Haasan fans whether or not their screen idol Kamal Haasan had been placed under house quarantine. It all began after the Chennai Corporation pasted a Home quarantine sticker to his Alwarpet residence. The sticker was later removed.
Kamal Haasan has now sent out a declaration to explain the situation. He said, "Based on the announcement outside my door, news has spread that I was quarantined. But most of you already know I haven't been staying there for the past couple of years and from there the Makkal Needhi Maiam party office has been running. So, the news I was quarantined about isn't real.
I took social distancing as a precautionary step, because I told the media, too. I will re-emphasize both of us to take social distance as a precautionary measure. "Ironically, it was only recently that Kamal Haasan agreed to turn his house into a temporary hospital for the care of patients with coronavirus. Kamal Haasan's daughter, actress Shruti Haasan is also in self-isolation as she returned from London a few weeks ago.
