Reported By 01 Sep 2017
It has been heard that Tamil movie ‘Bogan’, which was released earlier this year, directed by Director Lakshman is soon going to be remade in Telugu. The film received critical acclamation and now the director is interested to redirect the remake. Latest reports reveal that Arvind Swamy, who played the antagonist in the Tamil version, will not be a part of the remake.
Meanwhile, director Lakshman said, “There have been reports that Arvind Sir turned down the role in the Telugu version. This is not true. I never wanted to cast Arvind Swamy in the Telugu remake. Initially, I was thinking of casting SJ Suryah for the role that is along the lines of Joker in Batman. But the producers wanted Arvind Swamy as he did an outstanding job in the original”.
Moreover, the director said that the remake is different and the character requirements will be different in the Telugu version. He further claimed that Arvind himself knows this fact. The Tamil version had Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swami in the lead, however, the remake is said to star Ravi Teja and Catherine Tresa.
