Alummoodan was a Malayalam film actor. He acted in more than 100 films. He acted mainly in comedy roles.his father's name was Alummoottil Joseph, and his mother's name was Rosamma. His acting career began in the year 1966 with the movie, One of his sons is Boban Alummoodan.Alummoodan is an actor, known for Panchavadi Palam (1984), Yaathra (1985) and Manjil Virinja Pookkal . He died on 3 May 1992 due to Heart attack. He was 59.[2] His death occurred during the shooting of a film named Adwaitham, directed by Priyadarshan and starring Mohanlal in the lead role. He portrayed the role of a minister in Adwaitham, and his last words were the film dialogue 'Swami enne rakshikkanam' , which he told to Mohanlal, portraying the role of a saint. He died on the spot.
