Thunai Mudhalvar (English: Deputy Leader) is a 2015 Indian Tamil political satire film written by K. Bhagyaraj and directed by R. Vivekanandan. The film stars Bhagyaraj and Jayaram in the lead roles while Shweta Menon and Sandhya among others form an ensemble cast. Music for the film was composed by four different music directors and the film opened to negative reviews in April 2015. This film is about a man, who is elected as an MLA, stages his own death so that his remote village will reap the benefits of the largesse that political parties will bestow on the place when a by-election is announced.
