Thaayin Manikodi is a 1998 Tamil language film directed by Arjun. The film features Arjun himself in the lead role alongside Tabu and Nivedita Jain, while Goundamani, Vijayakumar and Charle play supporting roles. The film released in August 1998. The film began production works in October 1996, when Arjun revealed that he would star in a film directed by himself . The team shot in Switzerland in October 1996 after they were denied a visa to go to Canada, while at the same time Vijayashanti opted out of the project after falling pout with the producers and was replaced by Tabu.The film failed at the box office but was later dubbed and released in Telugu as Jateeya Pataakam.
