Sobha (1958 film) is a Telugu family drama film produced by Ponnaluri brothers. It is the remake of the 1949 superhit Hindi movie, Dulari produced and directed by A. R. Kardar.[1] It is directed by Kamalakara Kameswara Rao and written by D. V. Narasa Raju.Seethamma, is the sister of Sankaram (Relangi). Her daughter Sobha (Anjali devi) is kidnapped by a tribal robber gang led by Sardar (Sivaramakrishnaiah). He gives Sobha to his sister Nagamma to take care of along with her own daughter Kasturi (Rajasulochana). Sobha grows up in the hamlet as Rani, a street dancer. Sardar’s right-hand man, Lala (Mukkamala) eyes Rani whereas Kasturi loves him. Raja (NTR), son of Sankaram unknowingly, falls in love with Rani after watching her at a street dance show. She also attracted towards him and their love irks Lala who tries every ploy to end it. Nagamma reveals that Rani is none other than Seethamma’s missing daughter Sobha. Finally Raja weds Sobha.
