Puthu Puthu Arthangal (English: The New Meanings) is a 1989 Indian Tamil language Drama film directed by K. Balachander starring Rahman, Sithara, Geetha, Janagaraj, Jayachitra, Poornam Vishwanathan, Sowcar Janaki, Vivek and Ilaiyaraaja. Sithara from Kerala was introduced as an actress through this film. The dubbing voice for Rahman was provided by Nizhalgal Ravi. Puthu Puthu Arthangal was remade in Hindi, but never got released. The film had title as Dilon Ka Rista starred Rahul Roy, Anu Agarwal and Ashwini Bhave had music by Bappi Lahiri and was directed by K.Balachander.
