Pinneyum is a 2016 Malayalam crime drama film . Written , co-produced and directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan. Businessman Baby Mathew, Somatheeram, are co-producers the film. The film portrays a lovestory where Dileep and Kavya Madhavan are playing the leading roles. Theis film loosely adapted from origina criminal incident that happen in Kerala during 80's by Sukumara kurup, a wanted criminal. Adoor Gopalakrishnan announced his next movie after 8 years with Dileep titled as Pinneyum ina press meet on 23 March 2016. The movie started shooting on 11 May 2016 with Sasthamkootta as the main location. Pinneyum was Gopalakrishnan's first digital film.
