Pelli is a 1997 Telugu film directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. The film stars Vadde Naveen, Maheswari and Prithviraj in the lead roles. This film won 2 Filmfare Awards. The film is based on the 1980 Malayalam film Manjil Virinja Pookkal and the 1991 Hollywood film Sleeping With the Enemy. It was remade in Tamil as Aval Varuvala; in Kannada as Maduve and in Hindi as Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe.Naveen wants to marry the girl he likes at first sight. He sees Maheswari in a shopping mall promptly falls in love.
