Karunakaran (Arulnidhi) is a reticent and practical college student who keeps getting into trouble because he doesn't think twice about speaking the truth. After being thrown out from his college in Madurai after getting into a brawl with cops, he moves to Chennai and joins a college. Even as he tries to settle down in a new atmosphere, he is unwittingly drawn into a conspiracy by some corrupt cops, led by IPS officer Marimuthu (John Vijay), who try to pocket a large sum of money found at an accident site. After the cops go on a killing spree, Karunakaran must not only save himself from their clutches but also prove himself innocent.
