Mathapoo is, the maiden production venture of Vinayaga Productions starring debutant Jeyan and Gayathri (of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom fame) as the lead pair. There is no stopping romance in our movies, as our directors seem to have a perennial affair with the very concept of love between a male and female. Mathapoo is yet another tale of love between a young pair which happens in Chennai. The conflict element in their romance is the girl’s moody, elusive and introverted nature. There is a reason for her ways and behavior and as expected, there is a flashback to explain the same. The film is a heart warming love story of a guy who loves a girl. The girl also loves the guy but refuses to accept her feelings for him. The film has heart break, action and tragedy.
