"Manasukkul Mathappu (English: Fireworks In My Heart) is a 1988 Tamil drama film starring Prabhu Ganesan, Saranya Ponvannan and Sarath Babu.
It is a remake of the blockbuster 1986 Mohanlal starrer Malayalam film Thalavattam directed by Priyadarshan,[1] with story based on the English novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."
Shekar (Prabhu) becomes mentally ill after his girlfriend Anita (Lizy) dies because of an electric short circuiting accident during a rock concert. Shekar is admitted into an institution managed by Nagaraj (Senthamarai).
