Kantri is a 2008 action thriller film starring Jr. NTR, Hansika Motwani, Tanisha Mukherjee, and Prakash Raj. The film is directed by Meher Ramesh, who is a protégé of Puri Jagannadh. The movie is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and C. Ashwini Dutt. The film initially mentioned to release on 1 May 2008, however released a week later in order to avoid competition with Parugu and was a hit at the box office.
