Jayasurya is set to play the life of former Kerala footballer VP Sathyan on the big screen now. It is the first time that the versatile Mollywood personality will be seen in a biopic. Sathyan plied his trade for the Indian football team between 1985 and 1995. He was one of those footballers who brought plenty of laurels for the beautiful game in India, but he got obscured with time. One of the best centre backs during the late 1980s and the early 1990s, Sathyan guided the Kerala Police Football team to two Federation Cup titles in 1989-90 and in 1990-91 and led Kerala to the Santosh Trophy title in 1992 as well.
