The film takes inspiration from the life of notorious thief Bunty and how three youths cross his path.
While chronicling a thief and his innovative ways, the film 'Bunty chor' is marred by a definite lack of purpose. The narrative almost scurries through the infamous theft in Thiruvananthapuram in no time. A thief-tale, which is supposed to take off at a breath-taking pace and then sustain it, gets stuck right from the beginning.
