While critics praised Sreenivas' dancing and fighting skills, Samantha's glamour, Prakash Raj and Brahmanandam's performances, they criticized the film for its predictable content and wrong placement of songs. Sai Srinivas won Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South (2014).
