Aalappirandhavan (English: Born to rule) is a 1987 Tamil action film written and directed by A.S Prakasam. It stars Sathyaraj and Ambika in the lead roles. It released with a big hype featuring a full page ad in Daily thanthi newspaper. The hero of the film - Sathyaraj has an extraordinary power of appearing at the spot instantaneously where crimes occur and save the good people by punishing the bad elements. The actress Ambika falls for his heroism. Rajadurai, a theatre artist gets obsessed with the roles he plays and ends up killing some people who had killed a boy's parents. He takes the path to eliminate anti-social elements.
