S R Swamy is an Indian director and cinematographer in Tollywood, the Telugu language film industry in India. Born in Valliwartipadu in Gudivada Mandal in Krishna district, he had settled in Chennai due to his busy work schedule there. He died at Machilipatnam where he had gone to attend a marriage. He suffered a massive cardiac arrest and succumbed to it before being taken to hospital. He was 70 and was survived by son Aravind. He was successful in many of his experiments in photography, when technology is not as extensively developed as of contemporary times.
