Sridevi was born in United States as the youngest daughter of Tamil actor Vijayakumar and Manjula, a popular Tamil actress. Sridevi has four elder sisters, Kavitha, Anitha, Vanitha and Preetha, and an elder brother, Arun Vijay.She started off as a child artist in a Tamil movie "Rickshaw mama ". Sridevi made her debut as heroine in Kathir’s "Kadhal Virus". She shifted to Telugu industry and became popular.
