Shanavas is an Indian actor in Malayalam movies as well as Tamil films. He is the son of actor Prem Nazir. He has acted more than 50 Malayalam films.Shanavas was born at Thiruvananthapuram He has three sisters. He had his primary education from Chirayakeezhu English Medium School, Montfort School, Yercaud and pursued master's degree in English literature from The New College, Chennai. He made his debut through Premageethangal a Malayalam movie in 1981. He made his comeback through a 2011 Malayalam movie, China Town.
