Former child actress who took a lengthy hiatus from acting from 1990 to 1997. Her return to the screen was a success, assuming the lead role of the blockbuster film Aniyathi Pravu and appearing in hit films such as Kadhalukku Mariyadhai and Alaipayuthey. She debuted at the age of four in the film Ente Mamattikkuttiyammakku and appeared in approximately 35 films before taking her hiatus. The majority of the films she has appeared in have been in the languages of either Malayalam or Tamil. She married Ajith Kumar in 2000 and has children named Anoushka and Aadvik. She co-starred with R. Madhavan in the 2000 film Alaipayuthey.
