Ram Prasad is an Indian director of photography predominantly working in Telugu film industry, having done cinematographer for more than 50 films since he has entered the film industry.C. Ram Prasad was born to the couple Sri C. Madhav Rao and Smt. Subbalakshmi in 1965. His father Sri C. Madhav Rao is a makeup man in South India and mother a housewife. He spent his earlier years in Chennai where his father was working as a makeup man. Initially C. Ram Prasad worked as assistant cameraman in feature films (Telugu) from 1986 to 1988 and then as associate cameraman in feature films (Telugu) from 1989 to 1993 and got his first break in Pacha Thoranam as cinematographer .
