Prakash Bare is an actor and producer in the Indian film industry. He made his acting debut in the 2010 Malayalam film Sufi Paranja Katha and has worked in several critically acclaimed films since then.Bare is a live presence in art house movies in south Indian languages. Prakash Bare has acted in more than 20 films in Malayalam, Kannada and Marathi. Prakash is best known for his depiction of poet KP Madhavan Nair in Ivan Megharoopan. Another noted performance of Prakash is in film Oraalppokkam, produced by Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi through online crowdfunding and shot in Kedarnath and Uttarakhand areas. Under the banner Silicon Media, Prakash has produced/co-produced critically acclaimed Malayalam films such as Sufi Paranja Katha, Janaki, Ivan Megharoopan, shutter(marathi), and Papilio Buddha. Silicon Media productions have won several recognitions including 12 Kerala state awards and official selections to reputed film festivals like Berlin, Montreal, BFI, Durban, IFFK etc.
