He first appeared in Jandhyala's film Aha Naa Pellanta in 1987 and gained popularity in comedian roles in SV Krishna Reddy's films. He got 3 TV Nandi Awards from Andhra Pradesh Government. One of them is for the famous "Amrutham" serial. He was a famous stage drama artiste before entering into cinema.
