Bobby Kottarakkara was born at Pareedkunju Ravuthar at Kottarakkara. He begun his career as a theater artist. He was introduced into the Malayalam film industry in 1980 in the film Palattu Kunjikannan which was starred by Prem Nazir and Jayabharathi. He was one of the famous comedy actor in malayalam movie he had performed in around 300 roles in a variety of films. It was during the shooting of Vakkalathu Narayanankutty that beloved actor Bobby has passed away in December 2000
